Loved the design of the floor during this era for the Spurs. Wish they never dropped it.

Charles would be a top 5 player in today's NBA.

You see the basketball physicality, that will break you down to 13 year career not even 20.. its hard to play back then at both ends makes you more tired..

THE BEST power forward to ever play the game. Both Karl Malone and Tim Duncan, were never as versatile in their game as Charles Barkley was. Barkley can simply DO IT ALL, by blocking shots, spot up and shoot the three in your face, steal, pass the ball in transition, lead the break, post up, shoot the fadeaway etc...! And, most people just don't know the fact that he was only 6"4 (he had lied about being 6"6, just so he can play as a power forward) in height, where both Karl Malone and Tim Duncan, were 6"9 and 6"11 respectfully. He simply had NO WEAKNESS in his game!

His weakness was his diet and too lazy to practice 😆

Pheonix made them work, on both championships runs it went down to the wire.

They beat the Sun's and Jazz in both playoff runs too

This should've been a 1995 WCF preview, if only the Suns hadn't blown a 3-1 lead.

The Suns were too lazy in that series, it was their year and favorite team to win the NBA tittle in 1995

@Chris M barkley was also ill to start the series from what I remember. suns were just lucky that they got good production from his "pitch count" and AC Green was on fire. And while the Suns had massive rebounding numbers at least in game 7 barkley wasn't always able to take advantage of them offensively and became basically a rebounder and decoy (mostly in the 2nd half when his cortisone shot became ineffective). In game 5 everyone just shot like garbage which is what helped saved the rockets. The suns couldn't knock anything down (FGs, 3s and FTs). it really is remarkable how resilient and fortunate the rockets got in those games considering their lack of interior toughness outside Hakeem. Agreed.

@Scott B Barkley was playing hurt particularly in the last game, however he still played with valiant effort. As a matter of fact in both G5 and G7 the Suns outrebounded the Rockets by wide margins, the Rockets winning those games actually was pretty surprising considering that.

@Chris M Suns were the deeper team even without Danny Manning due to injury. The sole issue would have revolved around Barkley's health which was once again deteriorating. The Suns had a MUCH better perimeter game than the Spurs btw. KJ was playing at an MVP level in the Houston series.

@Chris M in Game 5, Barkley was not hitting his free throws, and in the final seconds of regulation, he missed one that would've put them up by three and sealed the deal. One thing we hate is seeing NBA players miss their free throws when the game is on the line towards the end of regulation.

Spurs, Knicks, Jazz, Rockets, and the Suns never really had the 2nd super star to dethrone the Bulls. Both Stockton and Kevin Johnson were fantastic players but back in the 90s, you needed a star wing player along with a center to win.

IMO that 95' Spurs team is one of the best teams to not win a ring!

@Hakeem Olajuwon Asi es, una lesión con muchos años de experiencia en la liga lo mandó directo al declive. Pero aun asi aportó mucho durante sus campeonatos con Duncan…

The 1995 Spurs were fantastic! A solid team, franchise record at the time (62-20) the best Spurs team before Tim Duncan’s era with Robinson as one of league’s top scorer along with 3 great long shooters (Elliot, Person, Del Negro), all-around good players Terry Cummings, J.R. Reid and Avery Johnson, ABA/NBA leyend Moses Malone playing his last season there. Finally, a great team on the right track where Rodman wasn’t essential most of the season due to indisciplines.

@Hakeem Olajuwon Wasn't big on Vinny. He wasn't outstanding at any one thing, was small and not a terrific athlete. He was a less skilled Jeff Hornacek imo. Terry was good though for sure.
Hakeem Olajuwon
@Scott B Terry Cummings played well for them, and Vinny Del Negro was pretty solid too

Admiral and Rodman were great but the rest left quite a bit to be desired. Avery and Elliott were decent but I didn't care for the rest of the 1995 squad. The Suns from 1993-1995 were the real ringless wonders of the era. KJ, Barkley, Ainge, Ceballos and Danny Manning...unreal they didn't win one. If they got past those Rockets in 94 I think they would have taken the Knicks in 5 or 6 in 1994.

The Houston Rockets never ran into Seattle during their championship run, because that was one team they always had trouble with even after they traded Otis Thorpe

@Scott B Well maybe the Suns needed the refs to bail them out once again like they did in 1993 vs the Sonics. Kinda funny to hear Sonics fan talk about this when they got saved themselves in the previous round by Dick Bavetta. Yeah it was obvious they wanted Jordan and Barkley in the Finals fresh off the 1992 summer Olympics. Even Sonics fans know this.

@The Dude when manning was healthy and before KJ missed 40 games I am sure they were.

@The Dude That's cute kid but Shaq wasn't saved at all. Hakeem in those finals though...yeah super saved. Brush up on your history junior.

@Chris M why do you say that Rudy T counted on him very much that year so why say they wouldn't have gone far then with him on the roster
