Perhaps a silly question, but hopefully someone can help out. Does having dual monitors with different refresh rates (1440p@144hz & 4k@60hz) cause issues? Will the lower refresh rate reduce the performance of the 144hz monitor? I have read on some forums that people plug the monitor with a lower refresh rate in the iGPU and the main 'gaming' monitor in the dedicated GPU. Is this the right way to go? Does it matter or can I plug both into the dedicated GPU? Thanks in advance!

I bought the CP1500PFCLCD PFC Sinewave UPS System a few days ago and for $200 (normally its $260)and cyber monday (yesterday) it was $129$ ... I had to end up buying the one for &129 and i will have to send the $200 one back when I receive it. Amazon wouldn’t refund me the difference .

19:12 just say you don't know about VR please don't give people really bad information. If you pay 200 dollars more you can get a valve index. The vive controller is just garbage guys you don't want to use them. If you don't have the budget for the valve index go for the oculus quest.

GIGABYTE B450 AORUS PRO WIFI (AMD Ryzen AM4/M.2 Thermal Guard with Onboard WIFI/HDMI/DVI/USB 3.1 Gen 2/DDR4/ATX/Motherboard) I just ordered this mb as an open box from amazon warehouse, its advertised price was $85 and the original was $129.99. Hey Tech, HELP!!. Forgive the length. 2 years ago I built a system: i7-7700K on an ASUS Prime Z270-A (v906 BIOS), 32GB of 3200MHz Corsair Vengeance Ram, 480GB Corsair Force LE SATA SSD (C drive) 2TB WD Black HDD (D Drive) Corsair H110i AIO cooler w/4-120mm fans (push/pull) MSI GTX 1070 Seahawk w/2-120mm fans (push/pull) Corsair Graphite 760T case w/EVGA 750W G+ PSU Win 10 Home. It ran GREAT for over a year, until this one Win update, then it started giving various BSODs. I checked error codes & per MS recommendation, I updated BIOS to v1300 something. That made things WORSE as ASUS torpedoed the XPM & system refused to run with RAM at anything other than 2133 MHz. Win updates all hang now & system hard locks every 12hrs since. RAM was tested by shop & ran flawless, but when reinstalled, system would only run with RAM in slots A1 & B1 at 2133. I figure the board is FUBARed. Tried to find a replacement board & got burned so I'm ready to scrap both CPU & board. What do you recommend for equal performance to what it had?
Well since i7- 7700k is a quad core. You are in luck good with Ryzen 3rd GEN Depend on budget 6core 3.8ghz to max 4.4ghz core get 3600X OR 8 core 3700X 3.6ghz to max 4.4ghz OR 8core 3800X base clock 3.9ghz to max 4.5ghz out of the box which is offer $329.99 on sale PLUS cost of a new X570 motherboard OR 6 core INTEL i5 9600K 3.7ghz max 4.6ghz on sale $199.99 or 8 core i7 9700K 3.6ghz max to 4.9ghz $339.99 on sale PLUS cost of a new Z390-A Motherboard LGA1151 (Intel 8th and 9th Gen) Assuming your DDR4 RAM is still good? and other parts will be reuse. Higher the price you get higher core counts for AMD RYZEN 3rd gen. I think INTEL still stuck with 8 core at most on the range price build CPU AND Motherboard Combo set you $400.00 plus range to $600 price! give me a reply feed back

Regarding the motherboard they flashed to a mining BIOS and then flashed back to the original factory BIOS to sell it: Why wouldn't they flash it to the newest BIOS version, rather than the original version?

So what if I’m not having any tearing or any FPS issues, can I just buy a Oled 4k TVwith 60hz? Why shouldn’t I use that when it runs 60fps perfectly and the detail is immensely beautiful? I don’t mind gaming at 60fps I think 60fps is pretty good, it’s useable and seems to flow pretty good

100% correct on not waiting for a better deal. I got an AMD 2700x for $129, an Asrock X570 Pro4 for $110 and Trident Z Neo 3600mhz 16 cas for $159 at Microcenter, but these deals were only for a few hours and late at night. My plan is to upgrade my CPU for black Friday 2021 by getting a 4000 series CPU which will be heavily discounted. That's where I would check next year starting a week before Black Friday.

HELP! Would it be possible/ worth buying the intel 660p nvme to put on an old sandy bridge i7 2600k/ Asus P8P67 mother board for games? Could it work as an OS/boot drive? Or should i just buy a sata ssd???
James Thomson
James Thomson 6 mesi fa
@LordBattleSmurf Clone 128GB to the new 1 TB. The new drive will be much faster. Samsung cloning software is outstanding, but when was the last time you did an update or clean install of windows? I had some issues with cloning an old drive because of windows updates not having been installed, when I tried to do the windows update on the newly cloned drive, it failed because of old driver issues. So update windows before you clone. And as you only have a 128 GB it might be a good time to do a clean install rather cloning on the 1 TB. I can't comment on the pricing, but I like the 860 EVO and Crucial MX500, I'd get the Samsung if I was going to clone and whichever is cheaper if I was doing a clean install. The WD Blue isn't a bad drive either, I've just never used it as a boot drive. I've mostly used Samsungs and a few Crucials as boot drives. I probably had the same 128 GB Crucial you have as my first SSD as it was on an I7- 2600 from 2011. It's insane how the price of SSD's has fallen and the capacity has gone up.
LordBattleSmurf 6 mesi fa
You're awesome thanks so much for the quick response. So I need a sata SSD instead. Do you think the Samsung 860 EVO TLC is worth $109 (says it's on sale on Amazon and normally costs $199) compared to getting a a Samsung QLC 860 for $87 (says normally $129) or some lesser known brand? I usually like to stick with Crucial, Samsung, or intel. The drive will be used for recording my gamepla y footage and making youtube videos not just holding games. I'm hesitant to buy QLC and I like Sansungs clone os drive software. Do think those prices are good? Or do you have another recommendation for a 1tb drive? I'm currently using a 128gb crucial ssd from 2011 on an asus p8p67 mobo and 2600k not sure whether to just replace the 128gb with whatever new 1tb drive i buy OR keep my os on the 128 crucial and just add the new drive as a secondary for games ect? trying to decide if these cyber Monday sales are actually discounts or if i can wait and get it for the same price in a couple months

Am a bit lost now build my first pc in 2017 Ryzen 1700 16gb ram Asus 1070 strix Msi b350 artic tomahawk Phanteks p400tg Now obviously not made of money but feeling the need to upgrade do I start a fresh or can I get any more out off my system HELP GUYS PLEASE!! (Ps it's used for photography editing and light gaming)
With a new ryzen 3rd gen 3600X it base clock is 3.8ghz out of the box and does boost to 4.4ghz and 3rd gen is really native to 3200mhz ram. All those ram issue not running full speed XMP mode is due to first gen ryzen memory core controller inside the chip which is as best is 3000mhz. Having a Ryzen 1600X native best is 3700ghz but Ryzen 3rd gen 3600X actual run 4.4ghz which is very impressive boost of 700 ghz bump up. And run native 3200mhz with the old ram 3200mhz ram. I did use all 4 ram slots to total 32gb ram and system is super smooth and fast. The motherboard am using is ASUS X370 PRO. On your side yours is MSI B350 ARTIC TOMAHAWK two different board . Have to take note 1600X RYZEN is still fine as a gaming PC does 3.7ghz and boost to 4.090ghz and does gaming still very high level WITCHER 3 is 120FPS+ Ram run at 3000mhz! All my system is not overclock just use as is! So you have to check what is your current contants CPU speed since 1700 ryzen is base clock 3.4ghz and boost to 3.8ghz. If your cpu speed is fast enough? Or it the AMD B350 chipset motherboard limited the performance of ryzen 1700? your upgrade path is difficult since you did brought the lower end motherboard which is the B350 MB. Because Asus X370 PRO is premium board it gave me great experince upgrade path. I don't know if it the B350 motherboard fault? And I don't know your ram speed ? FIRST GEN RYZEN can't be on X570 motherboard but CPU of 3rd GEN Ryzen is supported with bios upgrade if the motherboard support it? what you can do is two option go with Intel path which is intel CPU & motherboard and use the same ram. Intel Core i5-9600K Desktop Processor 6 Cores up to 4.6 GHz Turbo Unlocked LGA1151 300 Series 95W which is offer $199.99 on sale at amazon Asus ROG Strix Z390-E Gaming Motherboard LGA1151 (Intel 8th 9th Gen) ATX DDR4 DP HDMI M.2 USB 3.1 Gen2 802.11AC Wi-Fi also $199.99 at amazon Which intel is $400 buck tax not included yet! or take a chance on Ryzen 3600X also $199.99 on sale at amazon using the existing B350 motherboard if really the motherboard fault then you really have to shell out ASUS AM4 TUF Gaming X570-Plus (Wi-Fi) ATX Motherboard with PCIe 4.0, Dual M.2 which is $199.99 You still looking a $400 plus price tag upgrade which is motherboard and cpu! or more if you want to max out ram slot configuration to 32gb ram about $89.99 if your current ram speed is 3200mhz. But if you wanted new ram at higher speed then you look at $200 more. Which the upgrade gonna run you around $600 Amazing how the COMPUTER INDUSTRIES MAKE money off not plan right upgrade in the first place! Your option is go with INTEL or Love hate AMD RYZEN upgrade.

czdaniel1 Yeah, 2 different cards, but are both 2060 6gb. Honestly, 1070 ti level performance on a 300$, brand new card was a decent enough deal for me to jump on (missed some of the slightly better deals a few days ago). I game at 1080p 60, and my wallet and I are both more than comfortable with that. I do not foresee 6gb of gddr6 ram being a major bottle neck in 1080p gaming for at least another 3 years, and I’ve never kept a graphics card that long anyway.

It doesn't matter. The countless individual circuits on your microprocessor only exist in a state of ON/OFF --- TRUE/FALSE --- ZERO/ONE ----ACTIVE/NOT ----There's no way for an electrical circuit to only be complete but not be completely complete (IE 80%). You are thinking of batteries, and how extremes in charge capacity around 0 or 100% can cause some atomic drift to form around the ANODE or CATHODE (depending on if fully charged or discharged state) with too much time at the extremes eventually causing the Anode or Cathode to be enveloped with non-electrolitic material which physically will block the conductive flow of electrons over time to the anode & cathode until it is completely enveloped and the batttery will fail to charge

limit your frame rate and your cpu wont get to 100%. I limit RDR2 to 60 fps and my gpu kinda likes it. It keeps the temps down just a bit.

+90% and 60-65°C is just "perfect"...it just very good...this is how a GPU should work.
