Oh ed. Losing someone is fckng hell. This just hits deep. I am proud of us for making it up to this day. I lost more than a friend, I lost my mom 4yrs ago and it’s still fresh. To be honest, this song hit home so hard for me that I couldn’t listen beyond the first minute for a while. I just watched the Apple TV concert last night though. Ed does it again. I just want to say thank you for this song. I'm suffering from compound grief. My sister died (quickly) from cancer in September, and it hit me hard. We were really close. Then my mom died in November, just before Thanksgiving, after having a hip replacement. I was with her when she passed. I had to take care of her final wishes and service. Then my father passed in his home in January, just before my birthday. I found him. I had to do everything from getting him cremated, planning his service, cleaning out his estate, etc. In that 5 month period of time, I also lost two friends (one was in his early 30's) and my aunt. I'm so depressed. I heard this song and immediately connected to it. It's absolutely perfect. So thank you for sharing this. It was even released at the perfect time. As a matter of fact, I even told my mental health counselor about the song. It's absolutely beautiful.

Love u Ed. Anyone dies at the time it's their turn, an everybody needs to respect the way. The pain for us feels the same. My grandma was ok and she died in 2019 for COVID, and my aunt have an agresive cancer now, so… I loveeee this álbum and all that u have made. But, I love this more because we all have this shit in our life. And it’s not a fairy tales as we always think! This is LIFE and u made it clear. We needed this to know that everybody have trouble and needs support ♥️

I went to a concert of his in 2015 and he’s still to this day the best artist I’ve ever seen live. His voice is so good that it actually sounds better live because a recording studio cannot do him justice. Like imagine being that good of a singer that your voice cannot be captured in its best form.

I lost my Dad just over a year and a half ago, not long before Visiting Hours came out. As sad as it makes me every time I hear it, there's some sort of comfort knowing other people have been though it too - especially someone I look up to. This song is the same. It's beautiful and it addresses the constant 'lump in your throat' feelings that grief brings. I hope you're doing ok now, even though grief never goes away ❤

Ed, I am so proud of everything you have achieved and I am so happy I bought that + cd from the supermarket in 2011. If I hadn't done that, God knows what I'd be doing now. I wrote my first song when I was 5 years old, having just listened to Small Bump. I haven't been able to get any of the other albums, but I ended up buying the CD for - the other day. You inspire so many people, you save lives and you make this world so much better just by being in it. All the way from Drunk till Eyes Closed, and whatever comes next, you are a superstar, if you didn't already know that. I commented on the I Will Remember You video a few months back, and that was when I took time to listen to your whole catalogue over again.
