New to F1? Anyway, F1 is more of a constructor/ team sport than a driver-centric sport, so close racing is almost a luxury. Trust me, Vegas is one of the closest racing we've gotten this year Top teams will always be better at development but some changes in tracks, weather, etc. will make things interesting
Proof that you don't need hype to make an exciting race, you just need great racing. "The show" made my eyes roll all week but the race really delivered something to talk about.
If Monaco was more exciting, it will get its attention from real race fans besides the billionaires on the yachts. That track doesn’t encourage overtakes but Vegas was pinnacle of overtakes
@@martinbynion1589how can you not hate verstappen when he pushes off drivers at any opportunity. He doesn’t even need to his car is so quick but he’s just an annoying brat
@@Football_Advanced I agree F1 and the stewards over protect him but he did get a 5sec penalty this race for a clear racing violation. But come on, dont get mad at his driving strategy/ racing style; its producing wins week after week. We'll see next year when Red Bull's car is no longer the best but for now, you can't hate on it if he's getting the checkered flag all the time
Very well designed within the confines of existing street layout. Kept the cars close together with lots of passing opportunities, high speed corners, with only a couple bumps with one crash (which he seemed to achieve all by himself!)
This track is absolutely shocking how intense and eventful it was … absolute madhouse leading to such an amazing race. I am a fan of this track now seems like all the drivers felt confident in their abilities which lead to some awesome battles.
I gotta say, this race turned me into a Leclerc fan too. His ability to fight back and outshine Perez on older tires was seriously impressive. And you know what made it even more exciting? The whole pack was neck and neck, no one was running away with it like 10 seconds ahead
Best race of the year, actually possible to overtake in a number of area’s. Does show how dominant the Red Bull is even when damaged it is streets/straights ahead of the rest!
F1 cars seriously defy physics. To go 354 km/h and then get the car slowed down in a few meters to make the corner without locking up as Leclerc did on the last lap is just absolutely incredible.
????????????????? It's never been missing, his team was just not a bottlejob and his car performed better this weekend He drove like this all season, WHENEVER HIS CAR WORKED 1 Japan move on Russell 2. Silverstone defense against Russell 3. Bahrain defense against Perez 4. Defense against all sorts of drivers in US 5. Brazil sprint overtake on Hamilton
Amazing drive by Charles and a great performance by Ferrari overall. If Sainz hadn't received that unfair penalty then both Ferrari drivers could've been on the podium. Charles' overtake on Perez in the last lap was legendary stuff.
It wasn't unfair. As someone else explained, the rules are set and they can't be changed until they're changed before the race. This has happened before and the penalties stand whether they seem fair or not.
Hamilton fan, but I salute this awesome year for Max who underlined why he is a very worthy World Champion and so I will long remember this as the year Max and his awesome Netherlands fans owned absolute respect…. To all.
For certain that was _significantly_ an improvement on FP1! Well done to the drivers and all involved, for making sure the event finished on a much brighter note than it started.
Pois agora estaria tudo finalizado.
“It’s one of those days where I’m being told to wrap up, and I don’t want to” That last comment at the end of the video is how I felt when I was there. It was non stop action and before I knew it, we were at 47/50 laps. I was thinking nooooo I want them to keep going!!!
A lot of stellar performances! Of course, aside from the winners on the podium, Ocon, Stroll, Hamilton and Piastri deserve the applause too from everyone! Rising from the back of the grid??? Also, I was thinking, Piastri could actually have ranked higher if Mclaren pitted him early for softs (during safety car) then maybe put him back on hards again? I feel like towards the end they were waiting that there will be a safety car again for him to put for softs but 6 laps left and they pit him on softs like??? But oh well, the kid got the fastest lap of the race, how about that? Hamilton and him were both so professional about the racing incident between them as well.
Really hoped for Williams to have finished a top 5 here. They show the potential yet, sadly, fail to execute almost every race. They're so close to be an actual competitor again and have a great driver to achieve it 👏 They had a decent season nonetheless but let's hope for an even better following season, as they keep improving!
I was devastated when Lando went spinning uncontrollably into a crash🙁it felt like I had very little hope for the race but I still had checo to root for, overall this race was a very fun, eventful race as max, leclerc, and checo said.
He is doing pretty well recently. Of course everybody that hated on him is no silent. I'm not a fan of stroll but the is doing a great job right now and it needs to be honored
Fantastic race. Loved the vibe and the circuit layout ensured lots of close racing and over taking. If Carlos had not been unfairly penalized, it would have been AMAZING.
@@TheGamingShark33it's kinda true though. Verstappen would probably win with Last Year Ferrari as long as the one driving the Red Bull isn't Hamilton or Alonso
Absolutely PRICELESS! Fantastic event & well done! LAS VEGAS F1 Commity. You All out did yourselves with this Start to Finish event! Absolutely Stunning & FANTABULOUS! ❤
I’d love to go to a race in person but even then every time I see an f1 race it amazes me with how well the cars handle and how skilled the drivers are
I didn't jump on the hype train pre-race as I thought it all sounded 'showy'. I didn't watch it 'live' but just saw the highlights above. Looks a great and exciting circuit and probably already the best street circuit in F1 I think. So much better than Monaco that is for sure.
Thanks to everyone involved for this incredible event! Driving 220 mph thru downtown Vegas is only for Bond movies or fantasy video games, yet tonight we could enjoy the real thing! The overhead & in-car shots were astonishingly remarkable and kept getting more exhilarating with time! My only suggestion/criticism would be to highlight/celebrate the speed of the car more!
Its not the race, its the logistics that everyone hates. Covering pathways, charging absurd landing fees, charging anyone who has a view of the track, visually blocking everything with stands
@@CatBot007 yeah that but people were also saying it was going to be a disaster because of track temps but it made it more risky and interesting. Maybe a bit unsafe too but you win some you lose some
