juggernaut and wasyaname are good but this is too good especially "darling your the wind under my wing, my heart beats triple time when i see ya, something i cant controlllll. If i compared you to the sun is a stand-in got a smile that can light up a planet"
4:59 I JUST FIGURED OUT WHY I LIKE THIS SO MUCH theres two voices, one is more melodic and ones laidback, so it just feels really comfortable. invested when you need to be, relaxed when you need to be. which tbh is kinda the vibe of this whole album
I heard this song by accident, went back to listen to the whole album, and then fell in love with it. I don't get reminded of anyone, or have any desire to be with anyone or in any relationships, but being able to feel the emotion of it through the way Tyler tells a story? That shit is *incredible*. I hope he continues making things like this, always
this song fucking perfectly captures the experience of falling in love with someone so deeply, only to eventually discover you two arent meant to coexist at that moment in time. But the feeling you're left with after, knowing youre both still in love but need to walk away from each other to grow & develop individually, the confusion, the guilt, the pain, everything. Im not even a huge tyler fan like that. But this man is a musical genius, capturing those expressions 100% accurately from the sappy, sugary, slow beginning, to the moody & trance like bridges that transition into a passionate and painful ending. Exactly what i just went through all of 2019-2021, & this dude conveyed that entire life experience in just 9 minutes. Thank u tyler for giving this piece to the world, its helped me & im sure many others understand & cope w real life emotions ❤️
No, no, no, no, no, no, listen, listen (call me when you get lost, lost) The driver gon' drop you off Alright, it's warm (call me when you get lost, lost) The waterfall is crazy I don't know, make somethin' up, tell him somethin' Uh, come on Still on the boat Call me if you get lost You and I, we fell in love I ain't read the signs, ain't know what it was But God gotta know he might have peaked when he made you The cosmos' only mistake is what they named you (what that mean?) They should call you sugar, you're so sweet Well, they should call you sugar 'Cause you're so sweet to me Well, they should call you sugar, sugar, oh, you're so sweet 'Cause, baby, you're the sweetest, sweetest, sweetest thing I've known Baby, you're the sweetest thing Even if You left me out here stranded My feelings wouldn't change a bit (You know how I feel about you, are you ready?) You know how I feel, baby Infinite The love I have for you, a diamond couldn't put a dent in it (uh, go to the bridge thing, okay) Darling, you're the wind under my wings My heart beats triple time when I see you Somethin' I can't control If I compared you, the sun is a stand-in (sun) You got a smile that could light up a planet (smile) yeah (oh, oh) And I just wanted you to know (they should call you sugar) They should call you sugar, you're so sweet Well, they should call you sugar (why?) I go get what I want I want you to say you pick me with your voice I'm twenty-five up, but I can't buy your choice You promised to me, but that's not the point You got me out here smokin' joints You got me out here losin' point I'm cancellin' shoots and I'm cancellin'- I'm hitchhiking, you pull over, so invitin' The seat got my name on it, but who driving? He hiatus, we spend time, and we repeat and we rewind it Your headlights? It hit my eyelid Love is blinding, y'all together? Don't remind me, so confusin' What we doing? How y'all doing? Oh, you choosin' him? Okay, I gotta cope with losing, fuck I ain't been sleepin' well Twin, I'll never tell Stay busy so I don't think, 'cause downtime is when it sink in I stare at old pictures, I, I thought you wanted to dance (dance) I thought you wanted to dance, I Maybe, maybe (for you) What's the chance, though? I wish that we had better timing I'll save a dance just for you So don't forget about me, ba-ba-ba-da I'll save a dance just for you I wish that we had better timing I'll save a dance just for you (only for you, only for you) So don't forget about me (no) ba-ba-ba-da I'll save a dance just for you
Danced for 20 mins straight to this masterpiece, and felt it in my soul. Tyler you wrong for this one😪😭😭😭😭 This is straight up beautiful. Never felt music on this level. Thank you so much for this.🥺
I honestly hope that Tyler knows we appreciate how he keeps on his trends, he always drops every 2 years, he always has the 10th song have the / switch up, and he always drops a banger every time
The fluttering flute in the intro, the swirling synths, Brent's angelic vocals, the seamless transition into the samba-esque I Thought You Wanted To Dance, the a capella outro all come together beautifully to create a flawless listening experience from start to finish orchestrated by none other than Sir Okonma himself. This song earns every second of it's 10 minute long run time.
I just recently found this....I am 64 years young, i just love it, mg kids (26 & 23) cant believe it. The rap is so good, love what he says..... His music just puts a smile on my face.
Same, all my favorite songs are PartyIsntOver/Campfire/Bimmer, Palace/Curse, Gone, Gone/Thank You, 911/Mr.Lonely, and Fucking Young/Perfect. They are just perfection
4:31 omds this part and the beat drop is different mannn there’s something in this unicornshit i love it like it just makes me so excited for summer and school holidays like i love this vibe mannn danggg music just makes life 100x better idk wtf i’m saying but woahhhh all these beats are just perfect and that woman speaking french? then there’s the beat drop omddddsssss DAMNMNN omg this is soo good people are just so talented damnn😭 appelle-moi si tu te perds
3:40 is the best part... when it quiet downs, you hear the harmonies in the back, the synths, brents 'i knooow' then BOOM bring the chorus right back! 12/10 sequence
I find it ironic how this song describes the situation I was in during the summer. What's even better is that it released on my birthday, so this will always be one of my favorite songs :)
I wasn’t. A huge fan of Tyler, but when I heard his albums more, I became a fan. The creativity, the vibes his music brings. It’s gives me life. This track is a pure example.
this is the ultimate summer classic already for me, i can just picture the begging of the summer, high school just ended, not really knowing where i'll go next.
This song and “Did You Call Me?” by Lukaz are some of the only things getting me through these tough times ❤️ I hope everyone is doing well. I love you ❤️
Amazing, brilliant! This is so well produced and arranged. Vintage synths and the Latin feel at 5:05 is a perfect feel. A complete ride through a single love affair in one track. Thanks, Justyn for pointing me here!
This shows how Tyler is a complete musician, I would never expect some reggae vibes like this.... and dammm he never misses. love you Tyler you're the best
idk man im on the fence for this song. i mean i love the vibes, the love-romantic and jazzy feel to this song, but i just dont think reggae really matches with this.
4:45 we performed this at our school we actually performed the whole song but when this part came THE WHOLE CROWD SANG ALONG before this they were all using using ohones
Just heard this song a couple days ago and its a Master piece. So glad I found this gem. don't know how many times I have listened to it on repeat so far. But it's definitely that great of a song.
@YellowTwerker bastard and goblin were good for what they were, a teenager pouring his motherfucking heart out with angst, I honestly don't know why they are hated by a lot of his new fans tbh.
I saw Tyler last year at the Bill Graham Auditorium in San Francisco and I was blessed to see his beautiful performance through in and throughout the whole night it was his beautiful poetry in motion. This man knows how to put together a dope ass album, a dope ass show, and of course some dope as a tire. I didn't change my whole damn gear 3 years ago all because of Tyler inspired me to dress the way I used to dress when I was younger. And then as I got older he upped his game on his new clothing line titled le fluer, and now I'm treating everything he comes out with like how other n****** treat jordans.
